Twice a year

Start the season with a clean slate.

By March a yard looks tired.

Beds are full of winter leftovers and shrubs need trimming.

Our spring cleanup trims back and cleans up the beds in early spring.

One customer started there, then hired us to mow for the season.

In fall the job is leaves.

They pile up fast, and they smother grass if left alone.

We clear them from the lawn and out of the beds.

Ask us how we handle the leaves, because it depends on your town and your yard.

Call or text with your address and a photo, and we set a day.

Timing around Toledo

Let the freeze dates set the calendar.

At Toledo Express Airport, the last spring freeze is normally around April 22.

The first fall freeze normally comes around October 24. That is NOAA data.

So early spring is the window for beds, and late October on is leaf season.

Toledo, Maumee and Perrysburg all set an 8 inch limit on grass height.

A yard left through a wet spring can pass it before you notice.

Maumee’s city page lists a fall leaf collection, usually starting in October.

It asks for leaves only, set behind the curb and within six feet of the road.

Check your own city page for its rules.
