Big trees make a lot of work in Maumee.

Maumee is about 15 minutes from downtown Toledo, right on the Maumee River.

Mature trees are a big part of the place, and they shape most of what a yard needs here.

Shade thins grass near the trunks, so we keep the cut higher there.

Fall is the heavy season, and leaves pile up fast on the older streets.

We mow, trim and blow off on a regular day, then come back for the beds and the leaves.

Call or text and tell us your street, and we will tell you what we would do first.

Knowing the town

From Conant Street to Side Cut.

We work around Conant Street and out toward Fallen Timbers and Side Cut Metropark.

A lot of homes here have been standing a long time, with beds that have grown in over the years.

Closer to the river, heavy clay is common, and it holds water after a hard rain.

So we watch for soft ground before running a machine across a wet yard.

Maumee sets an 8 inch limit on grass height, so a missed few weeks can draw a notice.
